Install the app "ZHAW Notfall"

Follow the instructions in the videos step by step.
Tip: You can pause and resume a video at any time with the space bar.

Step 1: Create a new user account at my.e-mergency.ch/zhaw.
Update your details if you have already done this step before.

Step 2: Install the app "ZHAW Notfall" on your smartphone and register with your mobile number.

Step 3: Set the "nicht stören" (do not disturb) mode to receive an alarm (calls and messages) from the "ZHAW emergency" app even if you want to mute your smartphone. Please note that smartphones with the Android operating system in "do not disturb" mode must be set to loud or vibrate in order to receive emergency messages.

Guidelines with examples of emergency situations for app users

The guidelines with examples of emergency situations for app users contains detailed step-by-step instructions. This includes, for example, alarming via emergency numbers, informing crisis team members, creating your own crisis team, setting up an emergency bypass in "do not disturb" mode, etc.
The

Import "ZHAW Notfall" contact in own address book

Under "Contact for ZHAW" you can download the telephone number and e-mail address of the "ZHAW Emergency" app as a contact in *.vcf format. In the "ZHAW Emergency" app, SMS and calls are triggered by this contact.
This contact can be imported into your own address book to set up an emergency bypass on your smartphone. Step-by-step instructions can be found in the guidelines with examples of emergency situations for app users at my.e-mergency.ch.
